Here's one thing I want from a transit system:
I want the people who send out announcements containing long lists of meetings to include information on how you could attend each of those meetings via Cherriots.
It is not an easy task to find out how to use Cherriots to attend any of those meetings held away from the downtown transit center. There's no listing of major facilities or businesses anywhere on the Cherriots website that would let you start with a destination and find the right transit route(s) easily. This is a real barrier to users.
The people running the show need to stop thinking like people who work for the bus company and start thinking like a person who wants to use the system, if it's not too hard. That means doing as much as possible to make it easy for people to find out which bus or buses they can take to get where they want to go. Don't give people bus route maps -- they don't show destinations. Give people directories of businesses and other points of interest (schools, churches, parks, restaurants) and connect those listings to the right route schedules.
