My bride and I watched "Triumph of the Will" for our movie group last night, and then I stayed up way way past bedtime reading Erik Larson's "In the Garden of Beasts," a book about the first year of the US Ambassadorship to Hitler's new Third Reich (1933-34) and the horrors of being in-country while watching an entire nation go insane en masse.
To read this post today after that. . . . Chilling.
