Starts Today! Four Weeks of Harvest: A Celebration of Community Gardens in Salem & Keizer

Marion-Polk Food Share's Community Gardens Program is pleased to announce a four part series of Harvest Celebrations, beginning Saturday, September 24th, and ending Saturday October 15th. Each event will highlight a particular crop, as well as a community garden within our wonderful network. Events will include food tasting and recipe tables, live music, gardening education and much more! See below for the details. More info specific to each celebration coming soon. See flyer attached.

All events are from 11am to 2pm. Drop in anytime.  
All events are free, kid friendly and open to the public.  

All events feature a tasting and recipe table, hosted by the Marion-Polk Food Share Garden-to-Kitchen Program.

  • Totally Tomatillos, Saturday, September 24: Location: Northgate Forgiveness and Peace Garden, in Northgate City Park. North end of Fairhaven Ave. NE.
  • Glorious Greens, Saturday, October 1st:  Location: Southeast Salem Neighborhood Garden.  Bellevue and 19th St. SE
  • Tubers and Roots, Saturday, October 8th:  Location: John Knox Community Garden, 452 Cummings Ln. NE in Keizer.
  • Super Squash, Saturday, October 15th:  Location: Oregon School for the Deaf. 999 Locust Ave. NE. Enter gate off Maple.  
Come for...Gardening Demonstrations, Art Activities, Live Music, Food Tasting, Educational Workshops, Local Organization Booths.
