STRONG Salem is for everyone who wants to help and participate in getting Salem, Oregon, to quit chasing Growth Ponzi Scheme plans and instead become a resilient, fiscally responsible place that lives by the wisdom that "Communities exist for the health and enjoyment of those who live in them, not for the convenience of those who drive through them, fly over them, or exploit their real estate for profit."

Best step you can take to cut your energy costs
Go to Solar Now! and see how simple and inexpensive it can be to add a solar hot water heater. If you are worried about rising prices, getting hot water for free is a nice way to relax about it.
I checked-out the excellent solar site and am convinced it's a great idea to go that route for heating water. But with the cost of between $6,000 and $9,000 to convert, I'll have to wait on that one. -Great blog you've got going and appreciate your effort to help make things better in our community! I've got a blog called "The Sustainable Earth Project" and will add a link to your site as soon as I can get to it!
